Request Cheaper Rates
Send your file to a licensed mortgage broker. The board's newest 3-year fixed report is 4.59%. The lowest 3-year fixed in this set is 3.90%. Your number depends on credit, equity, and the lender. This form is a request, not an approval.
Use it if a renewal letter is in hand, a purchase is coming up, or you want fixed and variable priced on the same file after the October 28 hike.
What Happens Next
- The request goes to a licensed mortgage broker. Name, contact details, province, a balance range, what you want priced and your timing. Nothing else.
- The broker contacts you by email or phone to ask what a rate depends on: income, down payment or equity, credit, and the property.
- You get a quote to compare with your renewal letter or bank offer. A request is not an application, and you are not committed to anything.
What To Have Ready
- Renewal: the lender's renewal letter, the balance, the maturity date and the amortization left.
- Purchase: rough income, the down payment and where it comes from, and the price range.
- Breaking a term early: the penalty quote from your lender, so the saving can be set against it. The penalty calculator gives a first estimate.
Most residential broker deals are paid by the lender at funding, so a standard file usually costs the borrower nothing. Any fee on a private or complex file must be disclosed in writing before you commit. See the disclosure and privacy pages.
